I met a woman last week who had everything she needed. She was smart, she had supporting people around her, and she was kind. She was an amazing woman all around.

But she was sad, disappointed and felt unworthy. Her business was not doing well. She felt like she hit a wall and she didn’t know what to do next. Nothing seemed to work for her at that moment. Her mind was hazy.

Have you ever had moments like this, when you felt like nothing seems to work in your business? Have you also felt sad and disappointed?

As much as it may seem like suffering should be part of your entrepreneurship journey, as much as the media keeps propagating that you must hit rock bottom before you go up high, let me assure you… you’re not meant to suffer on this journey.

Instead, you’re meant to be fulfilled, to learn and to experience joy. Believe me, anything that doesn’t work in your business, can be fixed (and sometimes faster than you think).

As hard as things appear sometimes and as cloudy as your mind may be, try to believe that there is a way to get out of where you are, to improve your life and your business. My grandfather used to tell us this all the time: things always worked out one way or another, at some point or another.

Eventually, you will be able to turn things around. You’ll find people eager to help you, new ideas and new systems that make a big difference in your business.

But the problem isn’t that there aren’t solutions. The problem is that it’s hard to find them if you feel down. Like the wonderful woman who I met last week, when you feel down, you look down. Down is not where your answer lies.

So, before you even look for a solution, my wish for you is to spend a couple of minutes helping yourself feel better.

Try this: spend a couple of minutes focusing on the things that are working in your life and that bring you joy.

In that moment, it may seem like nothing’s working, but trust me, there are always things we can be grateful for in our lives, even in the darkest moments.

For example, do you have a loved one, a child, a parent, a friend or a pet who’s yearning for your love?

Close your eyes, and think about them. Feel their love, and yours for them. Send them love and gently receive theirs in return. Feel the joy filling up your body and imagine it surrounding you, like a protective golden light.

Do this once, or multiple times a day. You might feel resistance, and that’s ok. Acknowledge that resistance and then make a choice: do you choose to want to feel better, right now?

Remind yourself you have the capacity to feel good, in spite of all the obstacles that may appear in your way. They’re just temporary roadblocks. The road doesn’t end where they appear.

I wish you love, joyful feelings and a successful business.
